I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I teach business and technical communication and composition. Currently I am researching multilingual content management for my dissertation project.

I have worked as a medical and pharmaceutical translator and writer, as well as a language specialist, interpreter, project manager, and consultant. I have presented my research at the conferences hosted by the following organizations: the Society for Technical Communication, the Association for Business Communication, the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, the Conference on College Composition and Communication, the Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters.

My major research interests are in the areas of cross-cultural business, technical, and health care communication, content management, digital media, and rhetoric of technology. In my free time I enjoy digital photography, graphic design, and long-distance running.

In 2010 I received the Frank R. Smith Outstanding Journal Article Award from the Society for Technical Communication for “Writing for the Participants of International Clinical Trials: Law, Ethics, and Culture.”
